Rob and Rosa try to be helpful and accommodating. This may be some guest’s first bridge holiday, they want them to enjoy it enough to come back.
Nestled on Turkey’s stunning Mediterranean Coastline, Side is the perfect holiday destination for those seeking relaxation, culture, and history.
Wander through the renowned ancient ruins and marvel at the well-preserved Roman amphitheatre and the towering columns of the Temple of Apollo, as you immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this former Greek port city.
The charming harbour, lined with inviting cafes and restaurants, is a delightful spot to relax and take in the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters, and catch an incredible sunset. Stop to sip a Turkish tea or enjoy fresh seafood - you may even catch a glimpse of the green and loggerhead sea turtles who have famously made this beautiful coastline their nesting ground.
Side offers a vibrant shopping experience with bustling markets, boutique shops and stalls brimming with souvenirs and handcrafted goods. Do not miss the chance to pick up some local treasures from leather goods to spices or carpets to ceramics, as mementos of your trip.
We have chosen the 5-star Side Star Park as our bridge holiday venue, perfectly positioned close to the seaside promenade, it is one of the best located hotels in the area, as a flat, leisurely 15-minute walk takes you right into the town centre. Its many facilities include 4 swimming pools and a spa, and its superb all-inclusive package creates a social atmosphere and offers a mix or relaxation and group activities in and out the bridge room which of course represents terrific value for money.
April marks the start of Spring and brings plenty of sunshine with average daytime temperatures between 20 and 25 C. An ideal time to enjoy the blooming landscapes, relax by the beach or explore Side’s historic ruins without the crowds.
Our friendly and helpful bridge hosts, Rob & Rosa Richardson, have visited Side, Turkey many times, and know it well; they look forward to sharing their love for the resort and showcasing it in the best possible light for their guests. Our efficient bridge director, Colin Simcox, maintains a firm and fair atmosphere in the bridge room, but outside likes to relax and enjoys the fun of participating in activities such as table tennis or paddle tennis with fellow bridge players, always encouraged by his wife Marilyn!
